Unlike most of the reviewers here, we were not very happy with this park. Though the sites were large enough for a big rig, it feels more like a tenting campground. Lots of noise till late at night, lots of campfires (we had to keep our windows closed), and lots and lots of kids. If your looking for a campground with loads of childrens' activities, this may be the place for you. Considering the fact that it is terribly overpriced, we would not stay here again.
Of all the campgrounds in PEI, we enjoyed Twin Shores the most. We're always concerned about whether a site is long enough and level enough for a 42ft motorhome. Here we had a long level site with a great view of the bay. The location is central to the north shore of the island. Try to get a site in the 500 to 510 row. We'd stay here again.
Large level sites in a country setting. About an hour from Halifax. Truro, the nearest large town, is only 10 minutes away and has plenty of shopping, supermarkets, etc. Our Verizon phone service was marginal and we had to use a Direct TV dish on a tripod since our dome would not pick up a good signal. The owner went out of his way to accommodate any requests and is a RV technician. He helped me out with a problem and refused to charge me. We would definitely return.
This park caters mainly to locals who stay through the summer. Lots of children, large swimming pool and playground. Since we do not use most of the facilities and are more interested in a long level site, we were not terribly impressed. The long sites slope pretty bad and we had a hard time leveling. The park is convenient to Charlottetown (about 15 minutes to downtown).
Passport America Park. Long full hookup sites with 50 Amp service. Beautiful area in park like setting on the river. Sites could have been a little more level and access to the park was a little tricky, but not a problem for us. Would stay here again.
This would have been a pleasant stay, except, we were given site "M". The site was not level, it was within a foot of an old 5th wheel that was falling apart, the water connection was under a huge wooden box that I had to lift up, and the railroad track was within a few feet of our bedroom. When we walked around the park later, we found nice, long level sites (all empty), that would have been great. Sometime you wonder where these RV park people have their heads.
Very poorly maintained. Our slide almost touched the slide of the motorhome beside us. Signs were misleading and most big rigs had to back up after going into the office to check in. Generally, it looked liked management just did't care.
